  • 2 tablespoons Butter or olive oil

  • 1 Und small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves chopped garlic

  • 1 Und Carrot, cut into small cubes

  • 1/4 Cup Frozen peas

  • 1 Pinch Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: spices such as cumin, turmeric or cinnamon for flavor

Instructions

  • Rinse the rice under cold water to remove excess starch.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter or heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until soft and fragrant.
  • Add the carrot and peas, and cook for a few minutes until tender.
