Swedish meatballs
Soft ground beef meatballs served with a creamy sauce in traditional Swedish style

- 500 g of ground beef
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp with breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, chopped and sautéed
- 200 ml of beef broth
- 150 ml of heavy cream
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 1 tbsp of wheat flour
- salt pepper and nutmeg to taste
Mix the meat with egg, breadcrumbs, sautéed onion, salt, and nutmeg. Form small meatballs
Brown the meatballs in a skillet with butter and remove them
In the same skillet, add flour and cook for 1 minute; pour in broth and heavy cream, stirring until thickened
Add the meatballs to the sauce and cook for 10 minutes over low heat
Serve with mashed potatoes or rice
