Ingredients to prepare Spaghetti with mushroom and garlic sauce

  • 1 package of spaghetti
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 cup of milk cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions in a large pot of salted water until al dente.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a little olive oil and sauté the mushrooms until golden and tender. Then, add the garlic and sauté for another minute.
  3. Add the white wine to the pan and cook until reduced by half.
  4. Add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese to the pan and mix well. Let the sauce come to a boil and then reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally. If the sauce seems too thick, add a little more heavy cream.
  5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve the spaghetti on a plate and add the mushroom and garlic sauce on top. Garnish with a little more grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves if desired.
