Meat enchiladas (Mexico)

Beef enchiladas are a traditional dish of Mexican cuisine that consist of corn tortillas filled with shredded meat and bathed in a spicy chili sauce. This recipe is easy to prepare and is perfect to share with family and friends.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg shredded beef
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 2 cups red chili sauce
  • 1 cup of grated cheese
  • Vegetable oil

Instructions for preparing beef enchiladas:

  1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat and add the shredded meat. Cook until golden and season with salt to taste.
  2. Add the red chili sauce and mix well. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat the tortillas on a comal or frying pan until soft.

  5. Cover the enchiladas with the remaining sauce and sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
  6. Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
